Where have all the Cowboys Gone?

Did this country secretly assassinate all of the business leaders?  The ones with balls I mean.

Obviously something happened. I am not sure what. I don’t remember hearing about it on the news.

Paula Cole’s hit song my never have been intended to be targeted at the spineless corporate leaders we seem to have running the show these days, but I believe it is an appropriate comparison.

Why is everyone sitting around waiting for the government to do something? We all know that they are not going to make the difference we need.

I am shocked that one of the Fortune 1000 CEO’s has not pounced on the opportunity to be the hero. To pull together a consortium of leaders to brainstorm our way out of this mess. The egos and testosterone at the CEO level is so high, I am stunned that someone has not jumped at the chance to be the savior.

In a military operation, if you decide to do nothing you will get slaughtered.

Doing something is always better than nothing.

Where have all the cowboys gone?

  1. The CEOs are all writing thier list for Santa Clause. Think of all the man hours that have been lost as Boards and executive staffs take months writing thier “Please, please, please me with a handout. I’ll be a good boy from now on. If I’m not you can take over my company and all of our paychecks and you can hold me up for public ridicle which will put my family at risk but it’s worth it Mr. President. And can Barney Frank please, please be on my Board – he really knows how to get money for nothing – he’s my cowboy!”
